Niantic and Nintendo collaborated to create a new mobile game: Pikmin Bloom. Although this game is reminiscent of Pokémon GO, it is quite different. MeinMMO summarizes what to expect in Pikmin Bloom for you.
Starting today, October 27, 2021, Pikmin Bloom will be rolled out worldwide for Android and iOS. Australia and Singapore are the first to receive the new game. Germany will also receive the mobile game soon. You can download it for free from Google Play or the App Store.
How does Pikmin Bloom work? In Pikmin Bloom, just like in Pokémon GO, you will be sent outside for an extensive, exciting walk. However, you don’t need to catch any creatures; instead, they accompany you.
Pikmin is what the creatures call themselves and they are small, plant-like beings that accompany you on your walk. The more steps you take, the more Pikmin bustle around you.
Let the world around you bloom
This is what you can do in the game: While walking, you will encounter Pikmin sprouts in Pikmin Bloom. They lie along the path waiting to be collected by you. Once the sprouts have grown, you can pick your Pikmin. They will then accompany you on your adventure.
If you feed your little friends with nectar obtained from various fruits, beautiful flowers will bloom on their heads. You can collect the petals of these flowers and plant them while walking.
When you move in the game with your sweet companions, the map around you will bloom. The more Pikmin surround you, the more flowers will appear. Together with other players of Pikmin Bloom, you can make the entire environment bloom.
The Pikmin have different rarity levels, shapes, and colors.

You can also take photos with your little Pikmin friends anytime. This way you can capture special places and journeys. Additionally, at the end of your walk, you can retrieve the total number of steps, add pictures with notes to your diary, and display your walking route.
There are Community Days in Pikmin Bloom: Pikmin Bloom also promises Community Days, like you may know from Pokémon GO. It will occur once a month, and during that time you can interact, play, and plant together with other players.
The purpose of the game is primarily to make your walk out of the house more exciting. Anyone who hasn’t found a connection to Pokémon GO may find joy in the little colorful Pikmin that make the path around you more vibrant and can be nurtured like plants.
