With Season 2 came a new map in the “Ground War” mode and brought a nasty exploit to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. It has probably never been easier to unlock a “Tactical Nuke”.
What’s going on? With Season 2, a new “Ground War” map was launched for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. With the right tactic, you can achieve a lot of kills here without risk.
It even goes so far that there are already videos and guides showing how you can easily unlock a “Tactical Nuke” with this “exploit”.

How do they do it? Basically, it’s about continuously shooting a specific point on the map “Zhokov Boneyard”. The players then stay near an ammunition box to constantly receive supplies.
In doing so, these “tacticians” can remain completely safe and do not have to worry about enemy fire. They just stand in the corner, firing away and taking out the newly spawned players.
After a while, one can casually unlock a “Tactical Nuke” this way. The “Nuke” is considered the strongest killstreak reward and wins the game for your team. After 30 kills in a row without dying, it is a well-deserved recognition.
Can this be prevented? Yes and no. The trick probably does not work if the team with the exploit users holds point “C”. But how are we supposed to make our whole team understand in Ground War that “C” should not be captured?
Thus, it is currently very difficult to do anything against the nasty exploiting of the spawns.
Here, a pro team also exploits the broken spawns to gain an advantage. But not as sneakily as right now on the ground war map.
Will the developers intervene here? Yes, very likely. The large “Ground War” maps regularly disappear from the rotation, and Infinity Ward modifies inappropriate spawns and eliminates exploits. Major bugs are sometimes fixed pretty quickly.
Recently, the map “Krovnik Farmland” was removed and only brought back with the start of Season 2. The developers blocked many upper floors of the houses with the revision to make the map fairer.
We can expect the same for “Zhokov Boneyard” when the exploit has spread.
