On Monday, March 10, 2025, at 9:00 AM, Monster Hunter Wilds received its latest patch, bringing it to version 1.000.05.00. This addresses several annoying issues that have made life difficult for many hunters over the past week – including a bug that caused severed monster parts not to be what they should be.
What bug is this about? A strange bug caused some hunters to diligently sever monster parts, but they did not receive the parts belonging to the monster. They simply transformed into completely different monster parts from other beings.
This should change with the patch. You will get back the parts and loot you are working towards, instead of having to hope for the right parts like a surprise bag.
Another similarly bizarre bug caused monsters to behave strangely and show altered movement patterns that confused their hunters. Additionally, this bug led to some game crashes.
Today’s patch aims to fix these problems and others that have complicated hunters’ lives since the release. You can read the full patch notes here.
Ver. 1.000.05.00 makes your life easier again
In addition to the two bizarre bugs mentioned above, the new patch intends to address the following issues:
- The “Meal Invitation” event with Azuz and Sild does not occur in some cases.
- A problem with using equipment sets that causes decorations to be removed from the equipment, resets the customization of the bows to default values, and causes insect glaives to revert to their original rarity.
- When severing monster parts, these are sometimes replaced by parts from another monster.
- Gravios does not receive resistance to staggering after breaking its body parts.
- A problem that can cause crashes in certain situations or cause some monsters to behave strangely.
- Some abilities may be unintentionally activated under certain conditions.
- Some items/rewards can be received repeatedly under certain conditions.
- When trying to catch a fish with a net, the surrounding fish do not swim away from the fishing spot.
- Some environmental features, such as floating debris, can be activated multiple times.
- A problem where the main quest: Chapter 5-1 “Omen” cannot be continued.
- The Palico support action “Lure Vitality Wasp” can cause the hunter to become unresponsive to some control inputs.
- Scrolling through the quest list only displays the first 20 quests correctly.
- A problem that may cause the game to terminate when starting with saved data that previously led to a forced exit.
Once the update is available, all online sessions will be terminated, and you will need to perform an update to continue playing online.
These issues are known and will be fixed soon
The following issues are currently known and will be addressed in one of the upcoming patches:
- A network error occurs when an SOS flare is fired immediately after starting a quest.
- Link members are not prioritized over other players and may not appear in certain locations, including base camps.
- Palico attacks with blunt weapons do not cause stun or exhaustion damage.
- The hunter profile may not be edited correctly in some cases.
Behind the scenes, the team at Monster Hunter Wilds is continuously working to resolve existing issues and bring new content for its hunters. At the beginning of April, the first title update featuring two new monsters and more is already set to release.
Until then, you can dive into the various event quests if you feel already satisfied with the rest of the content or need a fresh change in between.
