Suba Games has announced a new online shooter called MARS. However, upon closer examination, it is not so new.
What is MARS? MARS: Mercenary Assault & Recon Squad offers an unusual scenario. You fight against robots, zombies, dinosaurs, aliens, ancient gods, and monsters. You participate in PvP battles and PvE fights with your squad. Tactics and teamwork play a significant role.
In the Free2Play shooter, you travel through various time periods to battle dinosaurs in the past or robots in the future. Additionally, you face waves of enemies in cooperative missions.
According to the developers, dozens of game modes are available. However, the website does not reveal further details.

Is it really new? Looking closely, MARS resembles an online shooter from 2014. This game was known in the USA as Hazard Ops and in Europe as ZMR: Zombies, Monsters, Robots.
This is not surprising, as both games emerged from MARS Online by YingPei Games, released in 2013, which also carried the subtitle Mercenary Assault & Recon Squad.
The game aimed to impress with many maps and a plethora of game modes. In Beast Mode, for example, you had to gather points during the battle to transform into a powerful beast that cleared enemies away.
As seen in the videos of MARS, there has not been much graphical change compared to Hazard Ops or ZMR.
Can you already participate in MARS? You can sign up for the Closed Beta on the official website that has recently started. An Open Beta will follow soon. The Free2Play shooter does not yet have a release date.
Who is behind the game? Suba Games is known for reintroducing older Asian online games to the market. This has occurred with titles like Divine Souls, ACE Online, Priston Tale, or Luna Online.
