With the start of the Christmas event, new offer boxes also arrived in the in-game shop of Pokémon GO. We show you how much you can save there and whether the purchase is really worth it.
Why are there new boxes? The Christmas event has started and accordingly, Pokémon GO is offering winter boxes again that are supposed to bring you savings.
In recent months, the boxes have only been changed very rarely, so a current adjustment is quite exciting.
How many coins you can save
This is how the calculation was made: We compare the prices of the boxes with the individual prices of the items. For this, we always take the cheapest price of an item. Incense and lucky eggs can be bought in the shop in packs of 8. We use these prices for the calculation and not the individual price of the items.

How worthwhile the boxes are
Special Box: There have been significantly better special boxes before, and you get Poké Balls for free from PokéStops. However, the other 3 items are at least useful. But this is not a really good saving.
Hyper Box: The Hyper Box is quite disappointing. Normally, around Christmas, there are always the best boxes in Pokémon GO, but this year, especially the Hyper Box is a disappointment. Even during the year there were boxes that brought more savings. If you don’t necessarily need Raid Passes, you should steer clear of this one.
Adventure Box: Basically, this offer is good, and the savings are decent. However, if you only buy the box for the incubators, you will have to make compromises. A machine has been removed compared to the last box. However, the offer is fine and is still worth it.
Which box is the most worth it? Basically, the boxes this Christmas are disappointing. In recent years, there have been significantly better offers.
If you want to invest the Christmas money straight into Pokémon GO, you should go for the Adventure Box. Although you can’t do many raids with it, the savings are good. A better raid box will hopefully be released after Christmas.
