What is A3: Still Alive? A3: Still Alive is a new Mobile MMORPG from the South Korean publisher Netmarble. They were also responsible for the successful mobile MMORPG Lineage 2 Revolution.
The game offers a dark fantasy setting in a devastated world. You can choose from 5 classes and participate in typical MMORPG activities alone or with other players, including quests, dungeons, and raids.
However, there is also a permanently active PvP mode where anyone can attack you at any time in the open world. It is a dark, dangerous world. Additionally, there is a Battle Royale mode with 30 players and a Free-for-All mode called “Dark Presence” for 100 vs. 100 players.
The mix of PvP and PvE is taken very seriously here and represents the feature of the game. A3: Still Alive has been available since November 10, 2020. But how is it received by the players?
Community Opinions on A3: Still Alive
This is how the game is received: On Google Play, A3: Still Alive had over 500,000 downloads, 19,480 reviews, and a rating of 4.4, just one day after its release. In the App Store, it even has a rating of 5, but only 11 ratings.
What is praised: The beautiful graphics of A3: Still Alive are a highlight for many users. Kelly C writes:
I was completely blown away by this game. The graphics are stunning, the controls are easy, and the game is action-packed. This game was much more than I expected for a mobile game. I love it!

What is not well received: Especially the optional autoplay in PvE is criticized by some users. The fact that the own hero does everything automatically like in an “MMO manager” and you only have to intervene to a limited extent has nothing to do with gaming for many players. Another autoplay game. I can’t wait for this trend to die. What’s the point of these games? Why not just make a YouTube video of it playing itself, that’s just as entertaining and requires the same level of skill. Even calling it a “game” might be a bit far-fetched, since you could play it with your eyes closed by just tapping on the same area of the screen.
Other players think the game itself is great but would like more customization options for characters, including eliminating gender locks for the classes. Michael Finklea says:
I love the game wholeheartedly but I just wish there were more customization options. For example, changing the gender of the class and the body type of the character. And a few more hairstyles and eye colors would be good too.

What about the Battle Royale? Regarding the Battle Royale, there was only sporadic criticism, but it was mentioned that it is “only” a kind of arena and that one would only win by massively spamming skills.
In summary, the game looks good, plays pleasantly, and offers plenty of content. On the other hand, some players are annoyed by the autoplay and the gender lock for the classes. But at least in PvP, the autoplay is disabled, and you have to take action yourself.
