Harry Potter: Magic Awakened is an upcoming new mobile RPG in the Harry Potter universe. The game mixes elements of an RPG with a card game. In addition to the single-player story part, there is also a 3vs3 duel mode.
What is Harry Potter – Magic Awakened? This is yet another Harry Potter mobile game after Wizards Unite. The game is developed by NetEase studios, which have already released many successful mobile games.
The game is a single-player RPG where you cast magic using a card deck. You draw your spells from the deck into your hand and use the magic depending on availability and situation.
What is the game about? Magic Awakened takes place 10 years after the Battle of Hogwarts, the finale of the last Harry Potter book. You play as a new Hogwarts student and first have to learn the basics of the wizarding world together with Hagrid before getting involved in a mysterious plot concerning the disappearance of another student.
Multiplayer Mode and Release
What is the multiplayer mode? Most of the game is a single-player RPG where you navigate through daily life at Hogwarts while unraveling the mystery of the story.
However, there is also a multiplayer mode called “Duel Club”. In this mode, you fight against other players in 1vs1, 2vs2, or 3vs3 battles. Here too, it depends on playing cards cleverly. You can see how this looks in action here.
When is the game coming out? Those who are already looking forward to the lovingly designed graphics, the story, and the card competitions will unfortunately have to wait a bit longer. Harry Potter: Magic Awakened will first be released in the summer of 2021 in China and select Asian regions. When a Western release will happen is not yet known.
