Past Fate is a new sandbox MMORPG that invites everyone to join the new alpha.
What can you expect in Past Fate? The MMORPG offers you a large sandbox where you can let loose. Essentially, it is up to you what you do in this world. You can explore it, fight against monsters, or complete quests.
- You will be able to hire mercenaries and participate in conquest battles.
- Seafaring like in Lost Ark and naval battles will also play a role later on.
- PvP will take place on special PvP servers or designated battlefields as well as in arenas.
- You can expect even WoW-like raids, where you will face bosses with up to 24 players.
- Dark magic plays an important role. It allows you to transform into monsters at night.
What does the alpha offer? The newly launched alpha does not yet contain all the features of the MMORPG. For example, you can only create your hero from the three classes Warrior, Priest, and Necromancer. More will come later. Additionally, you will only explore one region of the game world.
You will face fights against monsters and you can accept initial quests from NPCs. Overall, however, the version is still in a very early state, just an alpha. It is intended to gather player feedback to make improvements and tailor the online role-playing game to the wishes of the players.
What is new in this test version? The current alpha offers some improvements over the last test phase from February:
- The quest experience is better optimized
- You can level up to level 10 by completing Westborough and Kingdom-of-Edaria quests as well as secret and hidden missions
- In the world, you will find many secrets and puzzles that will reward you
- Two world bosses have been added, which you must defeat in a group. As a reward, you can expect unique crafting recipes and valuable items
How can you participate? The current alpha can be played by anyone. To do this, you need to download the client from the official website, register, and then you can start.
If you prefer to play via Steam, simply ask in the official Discord channel of Past Fate for a Steam key. You will usually receive it quite quickly, redeem it through Steam, and you can start playing.
What problems does the version still have? Players report frequent disconnects and lags. Furthermore, the content is quite limited. But this should be understandable for such an early version.
However, the overall game feel is praised and it is fun to explore the world while slowly leveling up.
