Throne and Liberty is currently the great MMORPG hope for many fans of the genre who are waiting for fresh content. Today, on July 18, the Open Beta has started and within just a few minutes, it has become so full that no one can get in.
This is the beta:
- The Open Beta runs only limited from July 18 to July 23 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The full release is on September 17.
- In the test, you can play all contents of Throne and Liberty except for castle sieges and transport events.
- The game focuses on PvE and PvP content for groups. Here you can find all information about Throne and Liberty in 3 minutes.
What problems are there right now? The beta went live shortly after 7:00 PM German time. Just 15 minutes later, over 55,000 players logged in on Steam alone (via SteamDB) – plus players on PlayStation and Xbox.
Since then, there have been reports of disconnects, error messages, or complaints that one cannot create a character. In the Subreddit for Throne and Liberty, several posts from users who cannot get into the game appear every minute.
Many users are also complaining on X that they cannot play. Some even say they can’t find the game at all in the stores on their platform.
Throne and Liberty Beta: Server Problems and Solutions
There is currently no official statement regarding the problems (as of 7:35 PM). The last official tweet on X merely announces the official start of the beta.
There is currently no known solution for the connection errors. However, if you cannot download Throne and Liberty at all, some users on Reddit suggest: change the region of your store to another one. The game should then appear.
The reactions at the moment are balanced between frustration and indifference. On one hand, it is annoying not to be able to play – Amazon should have expected a rush of several hundred thousand players with an MMORPG of this size.
Others say that after all, it is a beta. Its purpose is to find problems and the servers are such a problem. Playing now is to prevent exactly such a thing at launch. However, the few who can play say: Throne and Liberty looks excellent. Here you can find 5 things you should definitely try out in the beta – if you can get in.
