Havenhold is a new MMORPG that promises a good mix of building your own fortress and action-packed gameplay. It sounds like exactly what New World wanted to be. Now the second playtest is starting, which you can participate in.
What kind of game is this? Havenhold is a new MMORPG on Steam, developed by the studio Wolfpack Games. There is currently no exact release date for the game. For now, the game is starting its second playtest.
In Havenhold, you take on the role of a hero from a bygone era. You explore a now-destroyed world and try together to rebuild it. This world is divided into different zones where you can build a fortress. Additionally, these zones can be conquered by your guilds.
The battles for your fortresses take place in the open world. What’s interesting is that the timing of the battle is always determined by the defender. So you don’t have to worry about your fortress being attacked when you’re unprepared. However, a battle can last for several hours.
In Havenhold, you can expect an action-packed combat system where blocking plays an important role. You should also be able to execute combos with other players. There are supposed to be strong bosses, puzzles, and riddles, and when crafting potions and items, a few mini-games are waiting for you.
How do you participate in the playtest? The exact start date of the second open playtest is currently unknown. However, you can register for it through the official website. The registration process is relatively simple and requires only a little information from you.
Anyone who has already participated in the previous playtest will surely get access again now. For everyone else who is interested, it will be a matter of waiting after registration to see if they get access. There will be two open servers for the test: EU and NA.
During the playtest, you can expect the following content:
- Dungeons
- PvP battles for fortresses
- Co-op PvP content
- PvP content based on clans, such as sieges
The shown content will then be under NDA, and only a few content creators will be allowed to show what they experience in the playtest. This will be discussed with the developer beforehand. Perhaps Havenhold will eventually make it onto our list of the 5 most-watched MMORPGs on Twitch.
