The MMORPG Cinderstone Online (formerly Fioresia Online) takes place in a 2.5D world and promises an action-packed combat system combined with cute comic graphics. It also places emphasis on housing, caravan events, and castle battles, which you mainly know from ArcheAge .
What is Cinderstone Online? On Steam, the game describes itself as a “cute and colorful” MMORPG in a 2.5D world. You always look at your characters from the side but can move in all 4 directions in the game world.
The MMORPG focuses on:
- 12 different main classes, each with a specialization as tank, healer, or DPS
- Action-packed battles
- A large and open game world
- A main story and dynamic quests in the world
- Housing with your own farm
- Various life skills, including mining, woodcutting, and fishing
- In the endgame, everything should revolve around caravans transporting goods from one place to another, as well as battles for fortresses

What do the developers say about the endgame? In the MMORPG subreddit, the developers of Cinderstone Online created a detailed thread introducing the game (via reddit). Regarding the endgame, they say:
- After you have gathered strong equipment, you can join the battle for fortresses. These are controlled by guilds and can be conquered by other guilds in large battles.
- The guild that controls a fortress can set taxes and buffs there, as well as start certain world events.
- For those who prefer traveling alone or in small groups, caravans can be used. This is an event where you transport your goods to another place to sell them there (for cheaper). However, during such an event, you can be attacked by bandits and other players.
- The PvP will not include full loot, but items from a caravan can be lost if the caravan is defeated.
This emphasis on endgame content is also found in ArcheAge, which is still considered one of the best sandbox MMORPGs – at least in terms of the basic concept. Due to Pay2Win and some unpopular updates, it is now rarely recommended.
How does Cinderstone Online plan to finance itself? The new MMORPG, on the other hand, wants to start directly as a buy-to-play game. There will be no cash shop during the early access phase, but later there could be content like additional character slots for real money.
However, the developers clearly oppose Pay2Win, buffs, and even skins in the shop.
What about PvE content? According to the developers, world bosses and dungeons are planned, but it is a small indie team, which is why there won’t be as many of these contents as there are for big AAA titles.
