The development of the MMORPG Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen continues to progress. In a livestream, new playable races were presented that visually look truly monstrous.
In the upcoming PvE MMORPG Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen, the events take place in a “High Fantasy” world called Terminus. It was formed from many different worlds and planets, each bringing its own regions, races, and gods.
In a livestream, the developers of Pantheon showcased what 3 of the total 9 playable races will look like in the in-game graphics. And these three races are truly monstrous.
Every race has its place in the Pantheon universe
Besides their unique appearance, the races of Pantheon also have their own background story that reveals more about their character. Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen is one of 15 exciting MMORPGs we expect in 2020.
These are the Skar: The awful Skar stand out the most in the pictures. The background story of the Skar is just as bizarre as their appearance. They originally came from the planet D’shoth and their name back then was not Skar, but Aza’gn.
Once they were a slave race, wild, brutal, and filled with hate, with an insatiable hunger for violence. In a rebellion against their masters, they laid their home planet to waste. They were only stopped by the intervention of their god “Nine God,” who took away their ability to reproduce.
As an outward sign of their punishment, the god altered their facial features and pushed the bones of their faces through their skin. They were meant to be as horrifying as the death they spread.
These are the Dark Myr: On their home planet, the Myr were a noble and brave race. They were created with the goal of ending a gruesome war that was raging in the oceans and threatening to destroy the entire planet.
However, when they arrived on Terminus, it turned out that the water there was toxic to them. They could not breathe in it, and the entire race began to die a slow, agonizing death.
To prevent this, their mother-goddess Syronai sacrificed herself and granted her children a lung and two legs, so they could move on land as well. But the death of their beloved mother shook the Myr and turned them bitter and filled with hatred.
These are the Archai: Originally, the Archai were a race made of pure magical energy. They were peaceful and innocent, but because of that, easy prey and were enslaved by a hostile race.
They were disassembled and reassembled by their masters. However, this also granted the Archai new abilities based on elements like fire, water, or wind. With their help, the Archai were able to free themselves from their oppressors and become a people of brave warriors.
So if you want cool monstrous facial features and characteristics for your characters, then these new races from Pantheon are definitely worth a look.
