With TRAHA Global, a new MMORPG was released on Steam in November. The focus is on the battle between two major factions. The title surprisingly reached more than 8,000 concurrent players on Steam, even though it is essentially a mobile game that has only been rudimentarily adapted for PC. Nevertheless, thousands still log in daily on Steam.
What kind of game is it? TRAHA Global is a free-to-play MMORPG that was brought from Korea to the West. In the game world, there is war between the two factions Vulcan and Naiad. You can join one of the kingdoms:
- You create a character and choose one of seven weapon classes. Available options are: Scythe, Bow, Greatsword, Shield, Dual Blades, Staff, and Brass Knuckles. You can change your class at any time.
- You traverse an open game world and complete quests.
- There are dungeons and raids.
- In PvP, there are various options, including a 1v1 arena and the large RvR, where 100 players from one faction fight against 100 players from the other.
Graphically, it roughly resembles Lost Ark, as you play from a third-person perspective.
What makes the high player numbers on Steam so surprising? Originally, Traha was supposed to be a pure mobile game, which is clearly evident in the user interface. Skills are located on the left side, and the controls with mouse and keyboard don’t feel ideal.
Nevertheless, TRAHA Global peaked at 8,038 players, reaching records set by MMORPGs like Lord of the Rings Online, Old School RuneScape, and even nearly Guild Wars 2 (8,324). Two weeks after the release, 2,000 players are still actively playing, which even surpasses several other MMORPGs like Elyon, Swords of Legends Online, and RuneScape.
Many are also playable outside of Steam; however, these 8,000 users consciously chose to play TRAHA instead. Therefore, we looked at what these players find appealing about the MMORPG.

Praise for graphics, PvP, and lack of auto-play
What does TRAHA Global do well? On Steam, the MMORPG currently has 729 reviews, of which only 46% are positive. This is not surprising, as many negative reviews directly criticize the mobile appearance and stop playing.
However, there are still a few hundred positive reviews praising various points:
- The user Sounds Like A You Problem has already invested 200 hours into the game. He finds the game fun and compares arena PvP to Lost Ark. The only difference is that you don’t have standardized gear, but you need to upgrade your equipment. This may fail just like in Lost Ark.
- Kharneth praises the gigantic 100v100 battles after 90 hours of gameplay.
- Neoyoshi highlights that TRAHA is one of the best mobile games overall because it avoids auto-combat. However, auto-run to quests is still present. Since it can be played cross-platform, he plays it both on Steam and on his smartphone. He also praises a mini-game for collecting materials, where you need to correctly match images to succeed.
Overall, TRAHA seems to be a decent MMORPG for smartphones, as several reviews on Steam emphasize. We will test it in the coming days and might add it to our list of the best mobile MMORPGs.
What does TRAHA Global do poorly? In the negative reviews, much revolves around the fact that it is a mobile port and that one can spend a lot of money in the game. Upgrade materials are available for real money, and the premium battle pass for 60 dollars is said to be almost a must-buy.
Moreover, there is PvP in the open world, and it can happen that a low-level player is beaten up by stronger players. It is also said that there is a lot of time gating.
Given the negative reviews, we were surprised that TRAHA Global is getting so much attention. There are numerous videos on YouTube, and it is not doing too badly on Steam.
I myself watched the first 30 minutes of TRAHA and made a video about it:
What do you think of TRAHA Global? Have you tried it yourself or will you give it a shot? And how do you explain the great interest in the game?
If you want to try it yourself, you can simply download the MMORPG, as it is free to play. However, if you are waiting for a new, large MMORPG, you will find it in this list:
