The Quinfall is a new indie MMORPG that aims to fulfill the dreams of almost all players, whether in PvE or PvP. The first gameplay trailer also looked really good. In some screenshots, the developers have now shown their character editor – and it leaves a positive impression as well.
What kind of game is it? The Quinfall is a Buy2Play MMORPG and promises a perfect mix of theme park and sandbox:
- Players are supposed to own their own taverns or shops, breed mounts, and decorate a house with over 1,000 different decorations.
- At the same time, there will be dungeons, raids, and huge boss battles for 50 players. Players can choose between purely PvE and servers with PvP in the open world.
- For PvP fans, there will, however, be huge battles for fortresses on every server.
All of this is garnished with a hefty action combat system, pretty graphics thanks to NVIDIA RTX, as well as a dynamic weather system similar to Throne and Liberty.
However, the first impression made many skeptical. For an indie developer that has only existed since 2021, this sounded way too ambitious. But the latest images of the character editor show that the studio actually wants to reach great heights.

Many options and over 150 beautiful tattoos
What does the character editor offer? In two new screenshots, the developers present the editor in more detail. On the left side, you can see the various settings. These include sliders for large elements like the bone structure or muscles and many small details like eyebrows, eyelashes, and lips.
The skin color is also rather unusual with the blue-green tone, but surprisingly fits well into a fantasy world.
Especially striking are the body hair on the male characters – which very few MMORPGs even offer – and the large selection of tattoos. More than 150 of them are visible in the first screenshot. There are classic motifs like skulls or hearts, but also more extravagant symbols.
Especially in the recent past, where the character editors of New World and Blue Protocol have disappointed quite a bit, The Quinfall makes a particularly good impression.
What else have the developers shown? In recent weeks, many screenshots have been shared on the official channels for the MMORPG. New zones of the game world, the login screen, and images of features like gathering were shared (via Twitter).
Additionally, a first glimpse into the weapons that the characters will carry has been given. The selection includes sword and shield, two-handed sword, bow, spear, axe, crossbow, and two daggers. However, there will be no classes in The Quinfall.
The Quinfall sounds too good to be true
What is puzzling about the announcements? The studio behind The Quinfall was founded in Istanbul in 2021 and is said to have over 50 employees according to LinkedIn. Compared to large developers like Bioware, ArenaNet, or Blizzard, this is quite a small number.
However, a lot seems to have happened in the almost two years, at least if you believe the previous trailers. Many contents look quite finished, the graphics look surprisingly good, and there has been a strong focus on small details, as seen with the character editor.
This raises suspicion, as the developers are planning such a large number of features that they could easily compete with large AAA MMORPGs and even surpass some. This seems unrealistic.
On the positive side, they haven’t started any crowdfunding campaigns so far and seem to invite players to the beta via email without charging for access. They seem to be able to finance themselves for the time being.
