Eternal Tombs is a new MMORPG on Steam, which aims to have real Game Masters in control of the world and events at any time. The developers are now inviting players to the free closed beta.
What kind of game is this? Eternal Tombs is a new MMORPG that was announced on Steam and is planning to release in 2025. With an interesting concept centered around live Game Masters, the developers aim to provide a very special gaming experience.
The developers want to create an old-school sandbox MMORPG that focuses on PvE. While exploring the open world of Mithir with other players, you will pursue an individual story and encounter random events.
The real Game Masters are supposed to keep an eye on the players’ behavior at all times and constantly reshape the game.
What can you expect in the closed beta? A trailer has now announced the closed beta, which is set to start on April 2, 2024. The trailer also shows some smaller gameplay clips and gives you a glimpse of some minor and boss enemies:
Regarding the beta test, the trailer reveals that the tests will start in “The Woodland Commons.” This seems to be an area of the game, as a few small impressions below show.
For example, the trailer shows a first village, a swamp area, or a snowy area with a creature that could be a dragon. You can also catch a brief glimpse of a market stall with an NPC and many colorful figures, which could even hint at a small mini-game.
It can thus be assumed that the beta test will provide a quite pleasant variety of areas and gameplay mechanics.
How can you participate in the beta? With this beta test, Eternal Tombs is starting the first phase of the testing process. If you are interested in this MMORPG and the world of Mithir, you can register for the beta test on the official website.
Participation in the beta is completely free for you, and so far there is no specified limit on the number of possible participants. However, the official page promises that you only have to register once for all tests.
In line with this, the developers also promise that later in the game, everything, including equipment, cosmetics, and useful items, can be unlocked through gameplay.
What does the community say? Indeed, some players seem to already have their eye on Eternal Tombs and are now looking forward to the first beta tests, as the comments under the trailer (via YouTube) suggest:
