Palia is a new MMORPG, which strongly resembles long-term favorites like Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley. In July, the developers are launching a new playtest. We show you how to participate.
What kind of test is this? Palia is entering its third round of tech tests, starting on July 6. And indeed, only on July 6. The test lasts only four hours.
This time, a total of 200,000 fans can participate, who can register for the test until June 30 and will then be randomly drawn.
There is no guaranteed spot even with this number of fans, as for the first playtest, a whopping 600,000 people registered, as the developers shared on Twitter.
The test is meant to test the technical stability of Palia. So don’t expect a finished game, but rather a lot of chaos, visual bugs, and also crashes. Therefore, the test time is so short; the developers want to ensure that the 200,000 people are as much online at the same time as possible.
What makes Palia so special can be seen in this video:
How can you participate? Go to the Palia website and simply sign up for it. You have until June 30 to do so. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to fill out a short survey. The developers assure that participating in this survey will improve your chances of getting access.
By the way, all players who were invited to one of the two previous playtests have a secure access to the test. If you belong to this group, you can sit back and relax; your old account still works.
If you register anew and are selected for the test, you will soon receive an email and be able to create an account. More is then not needed.
New test, but no new information
Why is there no new information? Just like the previous tests, the 3rd playtest is under an NDA. This means that participants of the test may know more than before, but are not allowed to share it.
The developers point out that it is strictly forbidden to make or share videos or screenshots, and even discussing or writing about it is not allowed. So if you are not among the lucky participants and none of them spill the beans, we will have to wait longer for new information.
However, what we know so far sounds good. The developers promise, among other things: “We offer the fairest free-to-play model.”
What do you think of Palia? Are you trying your luck in the playtest? Or is an MMORPG without combats not for you? Are you an Animal Crossing fan and already hyped to experience the great concept as an MMO? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments here at MeinMMO; we look forward to your opinions!
