Perfect New World has released a new gameplay trailer. It shows action-packed battles that make a surprisingly good impression. Just last May, things looked very different. Additionally, the developers revealed what new features the upcoming beta in November will bring.
What kind of trailer is this? In the nearly four minutes, the focus is clearly on the battles:
- In the first 40 seconds, the new class Dragonspear is shown. This class fights with a large spear and can throw opponents into the air or swing around it.
- Then there are the three other classes Berserker, Galeblade, and Mysticsword. Here you can see large, sprawling effects and many powerful strikes over and over.
- At the end, there is a fast ride in a freight cart and a bit of PvP to see.
Although the game relies on tab-targeting, so you only need to target enemies once and then always hit with your skills, the animations and choreography of the abilities create a very smooth and action-packed impression.
Only the minor FPS drops and the somewhat empty-looking game world tarnish the otherwise very entertaining trailer. Here you can watch it:
The first beta could not convince, but now everything is supposed to get better
What exactly is this beta? The new test takes place directly on Steam and starts on November 14 at 4:00 PM German time. To participate, you only need to register on the official website and fill out a questionnaire. In this questionnaire, the developers want to know what platforms and hardware you own and which MMORPGs you prefer to play.
You can also spin a fortune wheel once a day to increase your chances or even get direct access.
The registrations for the beta end on November 8 at 5:59 AM German time.
What do we know about the beta? The beta brings several new features, including the class Dragonspear, three new areas, and mounts. New and revised dungeons will also be shown, and the first PvP content will be released.
This involves a kind of battle royale, where players must collect ghost cores. To get them, you either have to kill tough PvE bosses or other players.
How did the last beta go? The test in May was not well received. There was criticism for the lack of diversity in classes, pixelated graphics, a boring combat system, menus reminiscent of a mobile game, and numerous bugs and performance issues.
However, the developers promised 12 major changes, including new classes and areas as well as adjustments to the combat system. They have already implemented part of this, as the trailer shows.
When will the game be released? There is still no concrete statement on this. A release is expected no earlier than late 2024 or early 2025.
