V4 is the latest MMORPG from Nexon (Vindictus, MapleStory 2) and will be released in our region on Thursday, July 23. It will have a German localization and you can pre-register right now.
What is V4? The new Free2Play MMORPG was originally announced for Android and iOS, but is also set to be released for PC. One reason is the good graphics, which come from Unreal Engine 4.
In the game, you will experience adventures in a fantasy world where you can fight against monsters and bosses alone or with other players.
Visually, V4 may resemble a typical Asian MMORPG, but due to server structure, crossplay, and localization, the game could be interesting at least temporarily.
V4 aims to enable massive battles
What content does V4 offer? The new MMORPG focuses on classic gameplay with tab-targeting. An enemy is targeted and then attacked with various skills.
V4 also offers you:
- Collecting and crafting
- Bosses in the open world
- 6 different classes (Slayer, Knight, Gunslinger, Enchantress, Boomblade, Warlord), which are gender-locked
- Various PvP content
- Mounts
- Guild content
- An auction house
A highlight will be the aforementioned boss battles, which are designed for up to 300 players. The large battles are made possible by a special server structure, allowing you to play on different inter-servers, but for instance, in world PvP, you will be thrown together on a main server.
System requirements, controls, and release
What do the controls look like? While you are on mobile with touch controls, you should be able to play on PC as usual with mouse and keyboard. Nonetheless, there is crossplay between the platforms.
V4 is one of the first MMORPGs to offer crossplay between PC and smartphone in our Western region. However, The Ragnarök is another interesting title in development, which is also set to be released in our region and even for consoles.
When does the release take place? V4 is set to be released on Thursday, July 23, at 2:00 AM our time. You can already pre-register on the official website.
What do the system requirements look like? Nexon has shared the exact system requirements on Facebook:
- Android 8.0 and Galaxy S7 – at least 3 GB RAM and 2.2 GB storage
- iOS 12.3 and iPhone 6s – at least 2 GB RAM and 2.2 GB storage
- Intel i5 3.0GHZ, 8 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce, GTX9XX Series, Windows 8 or 10 and at least 4 GB storage
