The new MMORPG Swords of Legends Online (SOLO) has introduced the Berserker as the second class. The Berserker can deal substantial damage but can also tank. However, she first needs to drink a lot of wine to tank, as the name of the path suggests: Drunkenness.
What can the Berserker do? The Berserker, according to the class description, feels most at home in the midst of battle. He fights with a two-handed sword at the front and can take on both the role of damage dealer and tank.
The reason for this is the two different paths through which you can specialize each class in Swords of Legends:
- As a “Destroyer,” the Berserker can enhance his sword skills and thus become a powerful DPS class. With swift and brutal attacks, he forces enemies to their knees. Additionally, he can create phantom warriors to fight alongside him.
- However, if you want to play the Berserker as a tank, he becomes the “Drunkenness.” Drunken warriors use a special wine to enhance their movements and attacks. They can also harness the power of the wind to block attacks or summon a wolf to help, which strengthens allies with its howl.
Especially practical: Outside of combat, you can switch paths anytime and for free. Therefore, you can roam the MMORPG world as a Destroyer and later tank as a Drunken in a dungeon or raid. However, keep in mind that you should also definitely change your equipment in case of a switch!

With Swords of Legends Online, a new theme park MMORPG finally arrives in 2021
Why is SOLO so interesting? Essentially, there hasn’t been a new and successful theme park MMORPG in the West since 2014. While some titles have tried to fill that gap, including the Asia MMO Astellia, most new releases in the MMORPG genre have been sandbox MMORPGs or games that forced PvP in the open world.
Swords of Legends Online promises an intense story, quests, dungeons, and raids. While there are also PvP elements here, they are by no means as prominent as in Black Desert, Albion Online, or ArcheAge, the last major MMORPGs released here.
When will SOLO be released? In the summer of 2021, the publisher Gameforge will bring Swords of Legends to the West. The PC MMORPG will be released in its own client, on Steam, and at Epic Games.
Prior to that, there will be beta tests, which you can definitely participate in if you pre-order SOLO. In general, Swords of Legends Online is a Buy2Play title. You will need to pay once to be able to play it.
The game will be funded in the future through a shop with cosmetic contents.
