Cryptic Studios and Perfect World have finally announced the new MMORPG Magic: Legends and revealed the first trailer. Fans have long been waiting for the MMO set in the Magic: The Gathering universe.
What is Magic: Legends? It is an action MMORPG that Cryptic Studios teased three years ago.
The developers haven’t revealed much about Magic: Legends yet. However, you will explore the fantasy world as a Planeswalker and embark on many adventures with friends over the years.
The game is described as an action MMORPG (or MMO-ARPG, as the developers say), which suggests that we can expect fast-paced and action-packed battles, likely with an active combat system.
It is a fantastic time for fans of Magic: The Gathering. We ourselves are big fans and are excited to be working with Wizard of the Coast again. With its vast worlds and complex magic system, Magic provides the perfect foundation for an MMO-ARPG with epic fantasy adventures that will keep players engaged for many years.

What was shown about the game? The developers released a cinematic trailer that does not yet show any gameplay. We get to see cool scenes, including a battle against giant spiders. Everything runs in slow motion, creating a very atmospheric experience.
All of this looks very exciting and makes you want to learn more about the online game.
Who is developing it? The team behind Magic: Legends is the same one that also worked on the MMORPGs Neverwinter and Star Trek Online.

When will the game be released? The developers have not yet announced a release date for Magic: Legends. However, it is said that the beta phases will begin in 2020.
Can you sign up already? Yes, you can register on the official Magic: Legends website and sign up there for the upcoming beta. If you are selected, you will receive a notification – also about when the testing phase starts.
What else do the authorities say about the game? In a press release, the head of the licensing company Wizards of the Coast also spoke out.
