First tests for ArcheAge Chronicles in summer
What is the status of the PvE MMORPG ArcheAge Chronicles? In the earnings call, Kakao Games’ publishers discussed the PvE MMORPG ArcheAge Chronicles. According to the publisher, development on the MMORPG is already finished. The game is fully playable, and the developers are currently primarily working on improvements and optimizations of quests and gameplay elements.
In the summer of 2025, specifically between June and July, the first testers are expected to gain access to the MMORPG according to the current plan. The publisher intends to distribute over 100 test accesses to gather valuable feedback for the game.
Based on the testers’ evaluations, the developers want to set a date for a larger beta. There are two potential dates for this. If there is less criticism, the closed beta is to take place in September. If the first testers have more complaints, the first larger test will be delayed until the end of 2025.
The release of ArcheAge Chronicles is currently still indicated for the first half of 2026. The exact release date also depends on the feedback from the testers. Although the development of the game is already finished, the release could still be a year away.
How secure is the release date? The information comes from the financial report and the associated earnings call. As a publicly traded company, the publisher Kakaogames makes this information available to the public.
However, the company can change plans or postpone a release at any time. The mentioned information only represents the current state of affairs. In one of the past earnings calls, we learned what kind of MMORPG ArcheAge Chronicles is supposed to become: ArcheAge Chronicles removes much of what made the predecessor special and focuses heavily on Western console players
