The new MMORPG Shadow’s Kiss is set to enter Early Access on Steam in 2022. The game turns you into a BDSM vampire, necromancer, or succubus. We at MeinMMO summarize.
What is Shadow’s Kiss? This title is an MMORPG specifically aimed at an adult audience. This is not only due to the depictions of violence in the game but also to playable sex in the vampire MMO.
Shadow’s Kiss features a classless character system, where you can still specialize and improve. You enhance your self-created vampire in swordsmanship, necromancy, or the art of seduction. Your character development is up to you.
Besides the leveling system, progression in Shadow’s Kiss primarily occurs through finding better items, so a certain grind factor is also present. According to the developers, the MMORPG is quite playable solo, but most areas also have group content.
What features are there? However, the MMORPG offers much more than just gore and sex for adults – a whole range of features awaits you:
- An extensive character editor where you can define not only your appearance but also your story and sexuality.
- No Holy Trinity of classes, instead a classless character system, in which you can specialize further.
- The ability to further develop your vampire and specialize even more. Here you can, among other things, become a necromancer or a lustful succubus.
- Quest and loot system
- Housing
- PvE and PvP, dungeons, solo and group content in a turn-based combat system
- The ability to control humans and delegate tasks to them to improve yourselves.
- Playable sex scenes, where you can try BDSM among other things. Both as a dominant and submissive partner.

When can you play? Currently, you can support the game on Patreon and thus gain immediate access to an alpha version of the game. Furthermore, the title is still waiting for approval from Steam. Once that’s done, the Early Access phase on Steam should begin.
According to leaks, this is planned for the first quarter of 2022, but this information has not yet been officially confirmed. There you can then buy the game and simply jump in like you are used to from other early access titles.
The community has mixed opinions
What do the players say? Many are a bit put off by the graphics of the MMORPG. For a game releasing in 2022, the graphics seem quite outdated to some users, and the animations are not smooth.
Furthermore, some users express skepticism about the funding of the MMORPG. Originally, Shadow’s Kiss started on Kickstarter and reached its target there within 36 hours, but set a very low budget goal of $25,000 for an MMORPG.
Others are convinced that the game doesn’t need great graphics to be good. They gladly support the game and look forward to when it’s finished. The approach seems to please many people, otherwise, the Kickstarter goal wouldn’t have been reached so quickly, fans write on reddit.
