The newly released MMORPG Elyon has issues with lags and long queues during login. However, measures have already been taken to improve performance and appease players. You can find out what the developers are doing to optimize the game here on MeinMMO.
What is Elyon? The new MMORPG Elyon launched in late 2020 in Korea and has finally arrived in the West. As a Free2Play game, it can be played for free.
The action-packed combat system, which resembles a mix of TERA and Black Desert, is a feature of the game. It also offers a colorful steampunk setting with an Asian look.
What are the current problems? Elyon was released on October 20, 2021, and since then, complaints from players about performance issues in the game have been piling up. There are persistent lags, which are anything but fun in a dynamic action combat system.
Additionally, players are reporting long queues. Both issues seem to occur more frequently in Europe. However, the developers have already addressed these problems and devised several solutions.
Developers disable world quests and RvR-PvP
What are the developers’ measures? To address the lag issues, the developers are taking drastic measures. Apparently, two features of the game are significantly contributing to the lags. Therefore, global world quests and realm vs realm battles will be disabled until further notice.
At least the RvR battles will be back online by the next server maintenance on October 27. The battles scheduled until then will be handled as draws and rewards will be distributed accordingly.
To reduce login queues, a new EU server named Perseus will soon be online. Until then, no new characters can be created on the servers Andromeda and Sagittarius.
This is all aimed at increasing performance and reducing queues.
How is Elyon being received by players? Elyon had a difficult start due to the timely launch of New World but was still able to attract over 10,000 players, which is partly why the queues are so long.
However, the game is not faring well on Steam and recently received mediocre reviews.
