In Korea, the new MMORPG Night Crows, developed by WEMADE, has just launched and it has been going through the roof, so much so that the developer is now looking to adjust its corporate strategy and launch a global version by the end of the year. What kind of game is this? The MMORPG Night Crows is playable on either PC or Mobile. It was launched in Korea in April 2023. It’s a fantasy spectacle based on Unreal Engine 5. In addition to the open world, there are 8 classes available, allowing you to participate in massive battles with up to 1,000 people.
There is also a trading system that even allows 1:1 trading – unlike, for example, in Black Desert Online. Finally, the game offers you the opportunity to move around in the air, in the form of gliding.

The success of Night Crows is not enough for developer WEMADE
What are the developer’s plans for the future? Surprised by the success, developer WEMADE has now changed its corporate strategy. In the most recent conference call, the revenue for the first quarter was discussed. It was explained that the game generates around €1.4 million a day through the South Korean app store and Google Play Store.
The developer does not want to rest on this success and subsequently announces a global version of its MMORPG, which could possibly attract many critics. The global version is expected to support NFTs, based on the WEMIX blockchain, similar to what Square Enix is planning.
As the past has shown, cryptocurrencies are anything but a safe investment. Therefore, it remains to be seen whether WEMADE’s efforts will truly bear fruit, especially since many fans have shown little enthusiasm for this purported new source of revenue.
