The new old-school MMORPG Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen is considered a hope for fans of “real PvE.” The developers recently presented in a video what is coming for the game in the first quarter of 2023. And fans are really pleased with it, but it also raises some concerns.
Where does the information come from? The developers of Pantheon recently held a one-hour livestream and talked about what is upcoming. They had announced that they would hold at least 12 Alpha tests in the coming year.
In the stream, content creators Roenick and Minus talk with the creative director of the upcoming MMORPG. He primarily discusses what is supposed to happen in Pantheon in the first quarter of 2023 and reveals some new details about the story.
What is coming in early 2023 in Pantheon? Primarily, communication for players is supposed to improve. Since the entire MMO is divided into several zones, this proved to be difficult, as the creative director reveals.
A chat that works across all areas and zones is the foundation for an MMORPG, the developers agree. Accordingly, Pantheon also wants to do without a classic party finder and focus solely on a chat and further expand it.
Furthermore, the developers are now beginning to slowly and piece by piece assemble the world. Different biomes are now supposed to merge and create a seamless transition. Additionally, they specifically want to expand the area “Silent Plains” and improve crafting.
New character models for humans are also set to come to Pantheon. However, it is questionable when exactly the individual points will actually appear, as there is currently no date for any of the features.

Community is excited but has concerns
How is the stream received? The comments under the stream video are mostly positive, and fans are excited about the new information. Especially the new details about the areas and the approximately 10-minute story video at the end of the stream are well received.
However, some are concerned about the game’s progress. Many followers believe it is moving too slowly. It is often mentioned that it is a bad sign that the character models for humans are only now being completed.
Overall, the tone in the comments section is positive. Fans are pleased with the update and are looking forward to the upcoming alpha tests in 2023.
What do fans say? At this point, we would like to share some comments from the livestream video on YouTube, so you can get a feel for the mood:
