The anime MMORPG Blue Protocol is being distributed in this country by Amazon and is set to release in 2023. In a livestream, the developers from Bandai Namco revealed new information about the payment model and crossplay. All this and more in the MMORPG weekly review on MeinMMO.
The highlights of the week:
- In WoW: Dragonflight, the race for the world’s first kill of Raszageth is over. The Guild Echo secured the victory.
- Smilegate revealed what 2023 holds for Lost Ark in Korea and eventually, sometime, for the West. A graphics update, 3 new classes, and 2 new continents were promised.
- In a livestream about the new MMORPG Blue Protocol, developer Bandai Namco disclosed that the game will rely on a cash shop and a battle pass, at least in Japan. Details about monetization in Germany have not been revealed yet. Additionally, the release for consoles, at least in Asia, will be staggered in relation to the PC version. The outrage of the week: In Lost Ark, the new raid Brelshaza has started, and it’s quite difficult. However, many fans are already struggling to form groups for it, as gatekeeping is a real problem.

Lost Ark delays class because it is too sexy and shroud streams WoW, even though hardly anyone is watching

- The shooter god shroud is so in love with WoW: Dragonflight that he keeps streaming the game on Twitch, even though he has significantly fewer viewers than usual.

- Tower of Fantasy finally announces when server transfers will be possible. The first time will be on December 29 (via mmorpg.com).
- Mortal Online 2 promises a new mount and bad weather in the upcoming update (via massivelyop).
- 3 development studios are leaving the German MMORPG publisher Gamigo. Titles like Last Chaos and Shaiya are included.
- The sandbox MMORPG Fractured Online has to cancel its early access. The reason given is issues with third-party platforms.
- The developers of EVE Online provide a look into what players can expect in the third decade of the MMORPG (via mmorpg.com).
- A fan on reddit created a video showing how impressively the world map of Lord of the Rings Online has expanded over the last 15 years (via reddit).

- The upcoming MMORPG hope Throne and Liberty showed a teaser and promised that new information will be released soon.
- The creator of Camelot Unchained speaks of a home run. Following the $15 million investment in the game in November, they are now happy that development is progressing better than expected.
