The new Mid-Season Update for Black Ops Cold War is already online and tomorrow morning (March 31) the rest for Call of Duty: Warzone will be released. Especially players of Warzone should worry about their hard drives – on all platforms you need to download at least 50 GB of data. If you play on PC and have Modern Warfare still installed, the update size increases to a staggering 130 GB.

Warzone & Cold War: Mid-Season Update on March 30 / 31.
When are the updates coming? The updates will be staggered again, and Cold War will be serviced first. The Mid-Season Update for the current CoD title has been online since this morning (March 30 / 6 AM). Players of Warzone must wait until tomorrow – here it starts on March 31 at 8 AM.

How large will the updates be? Especially fans of Warzone need to be very strong now. While Cold War will please you with a maximum of 14 GB, Warzone and CoD MW will burden your hard drive with up to 130 GB – at least almost 50 GB. The developers indicate the following update sizes:

Why is the Warzone/CoD MW update so large? With at least 50 GB, the updates from Warzone are once again very large. The developers also explain why – because after the update, the files will be smaller again and you will save storage space in the end.

Cold War: Update 1.14 brings something for everyone and a lot of changes
What does the new update bring? For Cold War, the developers have prepared quite a bit. There are new maps, new modes, and something for zombie fans. A new playlist also went online with the update. Here’s the overview:

What are the new maps like? Three new maps sound strong at first, but the maps are very different and not suitable for all modes. The only 6v6 map is Miami Strike – a slimmed-down version of “Miami,” set during the day. Then there is “Golova,” which is already known from the Outbreak mode and is now available for Fireteam shenanigans in multiplayer. As a third option, “Mansion” is a map for the small gunfight modes.
What about the new modes? As many players have requested, Prop Hunt is returning right at the launch of the Mid-Season Update. There are new maps for the fun hide-and-seek game, and adjustments have been made to possible objects on the old maps that you can transform into.
In addition, a completely new Control mode with 40 players and Fireteam rules is coming. 10 teams will always fight for three active control points, and you get points for every second a team member spends in the control point. The first team to reach 1,000 points wins the round.
What’s new in League Play mode? There are now two new maps in the rotation – Apocalypse in the Control mode and Express in the Search & Destroy mode.
Additionally, the developers adjusted the Wildcards. “Lawbreaker” no longer allows you to select two primary weapons. You can now only select perks the way you want. “Extra Greed” has been removed – you can no longer use the Wildcard in League Play.
Furthermore, you can now receive a penalty if you leave a match early or eliminate too many of your teammates. You will receive a time penalty during which you cannot enter a match in League Play mode. The more often you receive such a penalty, the longer the penalty time will be.
What’s new in Outbreak? The Zombie mode was introduced with Season 2 and was quite well received. The developers are continuing to expand the new undead adventure and bringing a new map into the Dimensions rotation: The Fireteam map “Sanatorium.” Now there are 4 maps in the Outbreak mode. What’s going on in Dead Ops Arcade? Fans of the crazy mode can be happy – you can now also earn experience points for the Prestige System and your Battle Pass. Previously, Dead Ops was purely a shooting fun without added value for your progress. Now, zombie kills in this mode also contribute to your XP.
What has changed in balancing? Quite a bit. The Mid-Season Update changes almost 20 weapons and adjusts the movement. Here’s an overview:

What else is coming in the course of the season? The new sniper rifle ZRG 20mm is not available yet, but will be coming soon. In the English trailer for the Reloaded Update (via YouTube), it is stated that the weapon will come “next week”.
Additionally, the weapon blueprints will still be introduced in Season 2 – but without a date. Many players may already be looking forward to the announcement alone. So far, you cannot save custom weapon blueprints in Cold War to reuse a setup later.
Furthermore, the developers announced for the first time Gunfight tournaments for Cold War. However, we do not know exactly when the competitions for small teams will arrive.

Warzone: Zombie Threat Rises in the Mid-Season Update
Original report: There are no specific announcements for Warzone players. Only the roadmap gives a little insight into what is happening with the new update:
Currently, there are NPC zombies on the map “Verdansk,” which, however, have only been moving without spreading. With the new update, this could change and the zombies could suddenly appear in several places. However, since the update is only coming tomorrow, we cannot say how the changes will affect gameplay. Maybe it’s finally time for the “Verdansk” explosion.
The biggest “innovation” is thus the new file sizes in Warzone, which save you about 10 GB of storage space after you load the update. However, with this file size, it is also quite possible that much more will come into play, which the developers do not want to talk about yet.
