A coming MMORPG has reportedly raised 44 million euros for development, but fans have been waiting for new information for 8 months.
Which game is it about? Bellatores is a medieval MMORPG that was supposed to release in 2021 and was announced in 2020 under the working title “Project N1”.
Just a few days ago, the year 2022 has also passed, and a release of Bellatores is still not in sight.
Bellatores is supposed to offer a realistic medieval scenario with fantasy elements and massive PvP battles. The developers describe it as a “Survival-Adventure.” There are a few images showcasing the MMORPG with “Unreal Engine 5” graphics. However, there is no cinematic trailer, gameplay scenes, or detailed information available.
Developers reportedly record investments in the millions
What was the last information about Bellatores? The last sign of life from the developer ANU/AndYou was five months ago, and the last news on Bellatores was even eight months ago: it was released in April 2022. Aside from some alleged investments, the studio has nothing to show for it.
Even the latest announcement from the developers regarding the MMORPG announces new investments. The website states that the studio received an investment of 30 billion Korean won, equivalent to about 22.3 million euros (via nyouinc.com).
Previously, the development studio of Bellatores was said to have received investments of about 7.2 million euros and 14.8 million euros. Therefore, the total amount of investments would be over 44 million euros.

Fans are worried
What do fans say about the developers’ silence? Even though not much is known about the MMORPG yet, there is a small group of fans who are already looking forward to Bellatores. However, the lack of new information worries them, as can be read on a fan Discord of the game.
Every few weeks or months, server members ask if there are new updates or a release date. One disappointed fan says he is somewhat skeptical about the MMORPG, while another hopes it won’t be canceled.
Already in September, a fan estimated that Bellatores would also not release in 2022. This turned out to be true. Whether and when Bellatores will still release, or what will happen to the collected money, remains to be seen.
