The South Korean developer Netmarble (Lineage 2 Revolution) announced a new mobile RPG called Marvel Future Revolution. It not only looks really good, but it could become a mega-seller on iOS and Android.
What is Marvel Future Revolution? It is an action RPG for mobile devices. You choose one of the well-known Marvel superheroes like Captain America, Captain Marvel, Spider-Man, and Doctor Strange. Together with friends, you embark on a journey to defeat numerous enemies, including boss opponents, in a large game world.

Marvel Future Revolution has nothing to do with Marvel’s Avengers, the recently delayed action RPG from Square Enix.
Marvel’s first open-world mobile RPG
What is special about the game? Netmarble describes Marvel Future Revolution as Marvel’s first open world RPG for mobile devices. So, you won’t fight through relatively small levels, but you’ll be in a large, open game world.
What can be seen so far in the first videos looks really good for a mobile game. Visually, Marvel Future Revolution can absolutely hold its own.

This could be really successful
Why could it become a mega-seller? In this country, mobile games still struggle, especially among core gamers. However, in Asia, they are indispensable in the gaming market and provide developers with mega-profits.
Netmarble is considered a pioneer in the “mobile” sector. With the “Korean Steve Jobs” at the helm, Netmarble recognized the mobile boom early and pushed the established gaming industry forward.
Netmarble has long leveraged the Marvel license and has developed some extremely successful games.
Netmarble’s Marvel Future Fight, for example, was downloaded over 50 million times just two years after its release in 2015. 20 million of the downloads came from Asia, 10 million from the USA, 6 million from Europe, and 2.9 million from the Middle East. By now, it has even surpassed 120 million downloads.
The gameplay of Marvel Future Fight is similar to the upcoming Marvel Future Revolution, only that in the new game, we will be exploring an open world.
It is therefore to be expected that this new mobile game will again be a success, at least in Asia. The business model is not yet known, but it will probably revolve around the sale of cosmetics, as a lot of attention is being paid to costumes.
When will Marvel Future Revolution be released? The mobile game does not have a release date yet. The developers do not want to reveal too much about the game at the moment but plan to gradually release new information, including the release date at some point.
The role-playing game will probably be released – like its predecessor Marvel Future Fight – for iOS and Android devices; specific platforms have not yet been mentioned.
