In League of Legends, the new tactic surrounding Champion Senna is making bigger waves. Now various professional players have expressed their opinions on this playstyle. They also find it to be too strong.
What is “Fasting Senna” about? In the Korean region, farming minions is also referred to as “eating”. Those who refrain from this, fast, hence the name of the strategy.
Specifically, it concerns Champion Senna, who takes on the role of the AD carry but does not farm Gold. Instead, the Support collects the Gold and becomes stronger. However, thanks to her passive ability, Senna does not fall behind and can keep up with the opposing ADC.
With this strategy, Team CLG has already made a name for itself in the American LCS. The website Invenglobal has now spoken with several professional players about the strategy. Many find Senna too strong in her flexibility and even wish for a change to the champion.
“We have prepared some strategies with Senna”
What do the professional players say? Invenglobal has spoken with a total of four players. Denyk, the ADC from Misfits, refers to Senna as a “broken champion”. At the same time, he hints that the team has already made some plans for the champion:
We have prepared some strategies with Senna that I cannot discuss right now. But with “Fasting Senna”, the idea is basically to play good or very aggressive support champions. It’s about constantly harassing the opposing support.
Innaxe, the new ADC from Schalke, makes it very clear after FORG1VEN left the team. He states in his remarks that the team with Senna has always won when she was in the game:
You essentially have a really good early game, mid game, and great late game. There is currently no weakness except for really hard attacks on the bot lane, which becomes difficult when the opponent uses champions like Tahm Kench.
We have won all games with her [with Senna] and lost all games against her.
What needs to change about Senna? All four professionals agree that Senna is too strong in her current version. Innaxe also speculates in his statement about how Senna could be changed to make her more playable.
In his opinion, she cannot function as both support and ADC at the same time:
I don’t know how they could balance her. The developers designed her primarily as a support, but if they do not address the problem with the support items, where she receives so much gold, I don’t think they will achieve balance.
She will either be too strong or a useless ADC. Senna can scale infinitely, so I hope they fix her.
