League of Legends receives a new AD carry named Zeri. She has now been introduced in a detailed video. Her playstyle and sound heavily remind players of Jinx, but she can easily jump over large walls in the jungle.
What kind of champion is she? Zeri is a new ranged champion from the region of Zaun. She was accidentally leaked by Riot Games themselves a few days ago.
However, the official introduction of Zeri has now taken place. A video was released showcasing her abilities as well. At first glance, these seem quite powerful and also remind players of Jinx.

Zeri has a skill shot, high attack speed, and a strong dash
What can Zeri do? There is not yet a detailed description of her abilities. However, a lot can be inferred from the video.
- Her auto-attacks pierce enemies and fan out into three beams. This could be her passive ability.
- She has a dash, or jump forward. This can either be charged or functions in such a way that she can jump over walls, as seen in the clip with Jinx.
- She has an ability to destroy enemies’ shields and grant herself one, as seen in the clip with Urgot.
- She has a skill shot that slows enemies – similar to Jinx.
- She has an AoE ability (possibly the ultimate) that gives Zeri a buff to movement and attack speed. Allies in the area may also be empowered or enemies weakened. This ability can be seen at 1:25 during the large team fight.
Her abilities suggest that Zeri could become a very flexible champion. On reddit, players speculate that due to her jump over walls, she could also be used as an aggressive jungler. Her flexibility may also make her playable in the top or mid lane.
Why does Zeri remind players of Jinx? Zeri is also from the region of Zaun and uses a firearm reminiscent of Jinx’s Gatling gun. This is immediately evident, especially with the sound. She also has a skill shot to slow down enemies, just like Jinx.
Some on reddit even refer to her as “Jinx with yellow hair”.
How is the champion being received? Rather mixed. Many expect Zeri to be too strong, especially in the first weeks, as has been the case with many other champions upon release. They are concerned about her rich skill set, after all, she has a dash, a shield, and can slow down opponents. She is equipped very versatile.
Moreover, there is criticism that she strongly resembles Neo, a character from Valorant.
Nonetheless, many are also excited about the new ADC, especially because she is so mobile and allows for dynamic gameplay.
