In Destiny 2, Season 18 is ending soon, as usual, with a cutscene and hints about new content. This time, however, the cutscene was leaked beforehand, and we’ll show you what happens.
What happens in the cutscene? The end of Season 18 is approaching, and Bungie always hides a cutscene in the data for this occasion. This is supposed to be played shortly before the end to prepare players for the events of the new season.
Once again, clever players have found a cutscene in the data, providing some new insights. Here we embed the video:
In the cutscene, the 14th Saint walks with Mithrax through the Last City, which is now also home to the Fallen. Supplies are distributed, and finally, there is peace. The leader of the House of Light also knows a way to finally awaken the comatose Osiris from his slumber.
Mithrax used the vessels that players had to collect over weeks in Season 18 for his plan. He extracts the dark essence of the vessels and fills a teacup with it. The 14th Saint then approached Osiris and gave him a sip from the cup.
Suddenly, Osiris opened his eyes and was finally awakened from his sleep. Overcome with emotion that his great love is once again among the living, they embrace and kiss at the end.
What hints have become known? The cutscene was not only heartwarming but also contained some information about what players can expect in the future.
On one hand, Osiris shared his experiences during his time seized by the Witch Queen. He noted that he now knows the fears and thoughts that Savathun has and understands her well.
On the other hand, he points out that the Witch Queen secretly knew about a mystery on the planet Neptune. It cannot be ruled out that Osiris is speaking of Neomuna, the futuristic city from the upcoming DLC “Lightfall.” This city is located on Neptune and houses a human colony that has been hiding for a very long time.
