Due to a leak, there is information about a new killer from Dead by Daylight – Dredge. The sinister figure resembles a failed visit to the butcher and particularly targets the closet hiding spots in the game. MeinMMO shows you the details.
What kind of killer is this? Dredge is a meaty figure, pieced together from various remains that can hardly be attributed to a single source. There are pictures of the leak on Twitter:
The abilities of the new killer focus on the closet hiding spots. Dredge can even teleport to the closets on the map, directly into your hiding spot.
As survivors in the package, “Haddie Kaur” will probably come. With her perks, you can blind killers more effectively and repair generators faster if you take care of the totems.
How reliable is the leak? Currently, it is unclear whether and how the killer will come into play with the survivor.
According to the leak account “@LeaksDbd” on Twitter, this data comes from a pre-PTB build. The PTB is a test server for PC where changes are tested before they are introduced into the game.
The leak account states regarding the information: “I can’t confirm 100% that it’s real.” But the data does come from the game.
Leak shows Dredge in DbD – Closet Traps and Darkness
What can Dredge do? The killer shows 2 interesting abilities in the pre-PTB form: “The Gloaming” and “Nightfall”.
With “The Gloaming”, Dredge can teleport to a closet of his choice. He has “Power Tokens” available, which allow him to teleport directly to other closets. The tokens recharge over time.
While the ability is active, the killer leaves remnants at his location – possibly a kind of illusion double. The killer can teleport back there if he has not chosen a closet yet. After the first teleport, the remnants disappear.
Each time Dredge teleports, a survivor is hooked, or a healthy survivor gets injured, the “Nightfall Meter”, the second ability of the killer, increases.
If the ability is charged, Dredge can shroud the map in total darkness for 60 seconds – survivors see nothing. During this time, the killer can teleport more quickly and has no terror radius.

What can the survivor do? The leaked abilities of the survivor are also not to be underestimated. Haddie Kaur will probably bring these 3:
- Residual Manifest
- After a successful blind, the killer is afflicted with the debuff “Blindness” for 30 seconds.
- Inner Focus
- You can see the “Scratch Marks” of other survivors within a radius of 32 meters. If a survivor is injured within 32 meters, you see the killer’s aura for 5 seconds.
- Overzealous
- Each time you remove a totem, your speed at repairing generators increases by 4% – lasts until you lose health.
