Teamfight Tactics, the new Auto Chess from LoL, was originally supposed to be released with Patch 9.13 on Wednesday, June 26th. However, the release in EU West and thus in Germany may be delayed until Thursday, June 27th.
Update June 27: Last night, the new LoL Auto Chess was released in EU West. You can now start playing.
When will Teamfight Tactics be released? Riot Games is currently tight-lipped about the exact release of Teamfight Tactics. There are two reasons for this, as mentioned in the forum:
- On one hand, the developers do not know exactly when the release will take place
- On the other hand, they want to prevent all players from starting at the same time and crashing the game
However, there is at least an approximate timeframe when the new game mode is expected to be released. The release should take place between Wednesday afternoon and night, but from an American perspective. There are up to 9 hours between overseas (Pacific Time) and us.
Teamfight Tactics is expected to be released between tonight and Thursday morning at 9:00 AM our time. The same applies to the servers in EUNE and Russia.
Not all features are available at launch
What will we have to do without at launch? In the first week, the missions and the client hub will first be disabled. The developers want to ensure that these and the beta pass are functioning as expected.
Also, the little legends, stickers, and arena skins will be introduced later.
Can all players with a LoL account start right away? As soon as Teamfight Tactics is officially released, all players in Europe and America can start their first matches without restrictions.
Only in Japan and Oceania must accounts have reached at least level 10.
Many adjustments before the release
How has Teamfight Tactics developed on the test server? Shortly after its appearance on the PBE, Teamfight Tactics became very popular.
On Twitch, the auto chess game jumped directly to number 1 and on the test server, the new mode immediately created long queues.
Riot Games has also made some balance adjustments. For example, there was already a major update that nerfed the strong champion Aurelion Sol.
