With The Outlast Trials, a new survival game will be released on Steam in May 2023, aiming to break you with its horror. Here you will find a brief introduction to the new title, which will launch in Early Access.
What kind of game is this? Outlast is a nasty horror series that has already shaken many players to the core with its first two titles. You experience an adventure like in a nightmare, must escape from terrifying figures, and find a way to survive.
Outlast relies on all the rules of horror art – darkness, fear, splatter, terror. You are right in the middle; only your decisions stand between escape and certain death.
With The Outlast Trials, the series dares to leap into multiplayer. Starting May 18, 2023, you can get scared together in Early Access, and here you will find out how it is supposed to work.

Choose Your Own Horror Therapy
How does it work? The Outlast Trials places you with up to 4 players in a creepy escape room. You choose one of the therapies and let yourself be “treated”.
The settings of the rooms are very different – the 1950s serve as a basis, but the rooms are full of “fake film sets” and thus vary visually.
You must solve puzzles in the creepy rooms. Invincible figures constantly chase you and want to prevent your escape. You have to hide, distract the enemies, flee at the right moment, and solve all the puzzles. This works in coop but is also supposed to be doable for solo players.

The Outlast Trials will be available in Early Access on Steam starting May 18. There is currently no information on the price. The title aims to implement the horror of its predecessors into a coop concept and focuses on disturbance and terror. A strong mix for some players.
