On this Dyna Battle Day, there will be a new Gigantamax monster that you can challenge for the first time in Pokémon GO. Additionally, there will be some bonuses related to Dynamax. Furthermore, there will even be a new item that will simplify Dyna-Max battles.
Dyna Battle Day with Gigantamax Lapras – All Info
Which Gigantamax monster is new? You can challenge Gigantamax Lapras in this event. The Pokémon from the 1st generation is of the Water and Ice types and can be challenged in its Gigantamax form for the first time in this event. You can also get it as Shiny.
If you want to challenge the monster, you should prepare well. For the Gigantamax battles, you will need many trainers who ideally also have strong Pokémon with them.
As usual, you can only take Dyna and Gigantamax monsters into Gigantamax battles. Your regular Pokémon cannot participate in these battles.
What bonuses are there in the event? Even if you do not want to challenge Lapras, you can benefit from strong bonuses in the event. The following bonuses are active during the event:
- Collection limit for Dyna particles is increased to 1,600
- 8 times more Dyna particles at power sources
- Gigantamax battles take place at all power sources
- Power sources regenerate more frequently
In addition, on December 8, 2024, from 00:00 to 17:00, the following bonuses will be active:
- doubled amount of Dyna particles by walking
- 1/4 walking distance to receive Dyna particles
Dyna Mushroom in Pokémon GO – New item for Dyna battles
A new item will be introduced in Pokémon GO with the event. This is the Dyna Mushroom. You can use this to temporarily deal double damage with all moves of your Dynamax or Gigantamax monsters. This affects both fast and charged attacks, as well as Dyna attacks.
If you use multiple mushrooms, you can additionally extend the time. However, the damage dealt will not be further increased and will always be double.
The duration of a Dyna Mushroom will probably be around 30 minutes per mushroom. According to a find on Reddit, the cost for a Dyna Mushroom is said to be 400 PokéCoins, and for 3 mushrooms 1,000 PokéCoins, which makes them not exactly cheap.
