Gaming monitors are part of every gamer’s equipment. If you want to fully utilize the performance of your graphics card or value a particularly high-contrast image, you need a good gaming monitor. Now the manufacturer has introduced a new gaming monitor. It comes in a stylish “League of Legends” design. MeinMMO explains what the monitor offers.
The new monitor features an aggressive design
What does the monitor look like? AOC opts for a striking design with its AGON PRO AG275QXL. There are numerous golden embellishments on the back and along the display edge.
The stand has another special feature. When you defeat an opponent or destroy a turret in the game, the stand lights up red or colorful, serving as a reward for your good action.
For this, AOC has integrated an RGB system in the stand. Additionally, there is a matching startup sound that resembles LoL. If that’s not enough, you can look forward to an interface in LoL design.
What else does the monitor offer? The AGON PRO AG275QXL is a 27-inch monitor with WQHD resolution (2560 x 1440). The device offers a maximum brightness of 500 cd/m2. This is especially important if you want to game in a dark room.
With DisplayHDR 400, you can even use HDR with the monitor.
For the technology, AOC also relies on an IPS display. This provides not only rich and clear colors but also high viewing angle stability. It doesn’t matter from where you look at the monitor.
What will the device cost? The monitor is expected to cost 529 euros and will be available from March 2022.
There are already some good alternatives on the market without LoL design
What alternatives are there? Currently, you can get the Dell Alienware AW2521H for under 500 euros. The device offers you not only a fast response time and an IPS panel like the AOC device but also a USB hub and a stable stand. The only drawback is that Dell’s monitor only supports G-Sync and the brightness is not very high.
The Asus TUF Gaming VG279QM is also available for less than 500 euros. Currently, you pay around 370 euros for the model. However, you only get a Full-HD display and not a WQHD display like with AOC.
However, the device offers you a maximum refresh rate of 280 Hz and has good colors and excellent build quality. The magazine Rtings describes the gaming monitor as one of the best it has ever tested (rtings.com).
