In 2020, we expect releases from many online games. In this release list, we want to keep you updated on all the releases that are supposed to take place this year. These MMOs, multiplayer, and online games are set to launch in 2020 on PC, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and Mobile.
Which games are included in the list? In this overview, you’ll see upcoming releases from MMOs and multiplayer games, as well as major expansions expected in 2020. For a game or addon to be on this list, the developer must have clearly stated it.
In clear terms, this means: The games here either have a specific release date or timeframe announced by the developer for this year. We will regularly update the article when there are new entries.

Update from October: The list has been updated with a new release date for Cyberpunk and WoW: Shadowlands.
Update from September: We have expanded the list to include games like FIFA 21, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and Star Wars: Squadrons.

Bonus – Games we are looking forward to this year: Apart from fixed release dates, we are looking forward to MMOs that will reveal more about themselves this year. These can be alphas, betas, or early access launches.
- Elyon (originally A:IR), the MMORPG set in a fantasy environment with airships
- Ashes of Creation, which focuses on city building and fighting for cities
- Camelot Unchained, the MMORPG with a strong PvP focus
- Crowfall, which impresses with a mix of MMORPG and strategy
- Lost Ark, the action MMORPG from Korea, which hopefully finally arrives in Germany
- Project TL, the MMORPG that emerges from Lineage Eternal, of which we have heard less for a longer time
- Fractured, the MMORPG that relies on the wonderful technology SpatialOS
- In May and early June there will be stress tests for Fractured, in which you can participate
