In an upcoming game on Steam, you can befriend various dinos and run a farm together.
What kind of game is this? Paleo Pines is a farming game like Harvest Moon or Animal Crossing, set to be released on September 26, 2023, for PC via Steam as well as for Nintendo Switch, PS4/PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
Paleo Pines is set on the island of the same name, where dinosaurs live peacefully alongside humans. This sets the farming game apart from titles like ARK: Survival Evolved, where many dinos are out to get you.
If ARK was too complicated or difficult for you, in Paleo Pines, you can spend your days relaxing with various dinos.
What is Paleo Pines about? One of the dinos in Paleo Pines is “Lucky,” a Parasaurolophus you have known since it hatched from an egg.
Actually, there are other Parasaurolophus living in Paleo Pines, but they have disappeared. Together with Lucky, you embark on a quest to find their companions and encounter various dino species that you can also befriend.
With your new dino friends, you can then build a farm and fully dedicate yourself to agriculture. The dinos themselves help with the daily tasks of a farmer, handling the plowing and planting of fields or watering the plants.

What does the trailer show? The gameplay trailer shows us a small town with NPCs living in it, as well as various dinosaurs roaming the wilderness of the island. We also see the character editor of the game.
Shortly after, the trailer showcases the actual gameplay of Paleo Pines and presents how a player uses different dinos to establish a farm, prepare food, and feed wild dinos to befriend them.
Additionally, the trailer gives us a glimpse of the NPC merchants and quests that Paleo Pines has to offer.
All in all, Paleo Pines aims to be a cozy game where you can relax and engage in gardening without danger – a game concept that dino fans rarely experience. In games like ARK: Survival Evolved or Exoprimal, the prehistoric creatures often want to put you in danger.
