What kind of game is this? SteamWorld Build is set in the Wild West and features small comic-style robots. It is the 6th game in the SteamWorld universe and utilizes the city-building genre.
You manage a mining town and must take care of your Steambot residents. This means you build buildings and manage various resources such as food, electricity, or entertainment. At the same time, there is a train station where you can trade these resources.
According to the description on Steam, the resource chains become increasingly complex as the game progresses. At the same time, the game offers you 5 different maps to explore and settle.

Elements from an old classic
The city-building a la Anno takes place on the surface. However, the game also offers another level beneath your mining town. In the underground, there is a mine where new treasures and secrets await.
Here, you manage small robot workers who can explore the cave and dig up various treasures. At the same time, you must also defend against native monsters that want to attack your workers and the supporting walls.
Your units will help you, as well as various weapons like cannon turrets. This area strongly resembles the classic Dungeon Keeper from 1997, both in gameplay and visuals.
