With Ananta, the developers push the open-world genre to its limits and intentionally reference many well-known titles in their PS5 trailer. Players believe this is the game that brings everyone together.
What kind of game is this? Ananta is an open-world action-RPG, just like you are used to from GTA 5, for example. You can play multiple characters, switching between them as you navigate the colorful anime-style game world.
The game doesn’t take itself seriously at all, but rather presents itself as a parody. How Ananta pokes fun at genre companions while still aiming to be a good game is shown in the triple trailer:

Where did the developers borrow from? In the trailer, the developers clearly show that they have borrowed from popular other open-world titles. Trailer content and gameplay mechanics were both adopted.
We see, among other things, the character running through a subway tunnel like in “The Exit 8” while watching a vertical video clip, reminiscent of the first GTA trailer. The melee scenes, in turn, resemble those from the Yakuza series.
If cars and chases aren’t enough, you can also use the superpowers of Spider-Man, which the main character possesses. Then you can swing around like in Spider-Man 2 and attack enemies with superpowers.
If you prefer tech toys, the Spiderbot from Watch Dogs is also available and can be used in Ananta for the well-known exploration missions from the game series.
Like in GTA 5, you can simply switch to another character via your phone during the campaign. Even the camera movement seems borrowed from GTA 5. And these are far from all connections, as resourceful users show on Reddit.
Why should it become the game of games? As a personified parody, the developers of Ananta have immediately received a stamp from the community. Viewers understand that the developers want to humorously and exaggeratedly unite the best scenes and elements from the genre.
Thus, viewers are proclaiming Ananta in the comments under the trailer on YouTube as the game of games. It is intended to connect everything that the genre has to offer and has set high expectations. One user writes: “To say that this game looks ambitious is an understatement.”
Many viewers also find it amusing to have a game that seemingly offers everything. They laugh about it and explain that this likely happens when a game’s producer simply says “yes” to every idea.
The trailer of Ananta has already impressed viewers. The game itself is set to be free on PC, PS5, and mobile devices. However, when that will be is still unclear.
