The new Game of Thrones game shows its first trailer with gameplay and cinematics. It apparently goes beyond the Wall.
After a long silence, there was just news in the form of a financial report about the new Game of Thrones game from Netmarble. Now a whole trailer is coming right after, after there was only a small teaser for the project before.
The new game will be called “Game of Thrones: Kingsroad” and according to the financial report will be released for mobile devices. However, the financial report also listed the game as a PC release.
The new trailer now shows first scenes that provide a first impression of the game. We see Kit Harington as Jon Snow at the Night’s Watch and several warriors taking on white walkers and their followers beyond the Wall. Among other things, a giant can be seen giving the warriors a tough fight.
What does the gameplay look like? At first glance, the game, also due to its wintry setting, resembles the newer God of War games. Amidst ice and snow, the Night’s Watch swings axes to fight the creatures beyond the Wall.
It seems that you control a member of the Night’s Watch, and not Jon Snow.

What is already known about Game of Thrones: Kingsroad?
When is the release? According to the official website of Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, the game is supposed to be released in 2025. A more specific timeframe is not mentioned there. However, the financial report from Netmarble mentioned the game as a release in the first half of 2025.
What else is known? After it was long assumed that the game would be an MMO, the game is now referred to in the financial report as an open-world action RPG. This would mean more of a single-player title. The gameplay also resembles more of a single-player game.
Further details are not yet known. It remains to be seen when exactly the game will be released and what the contents will be in detail.
