Dreadlands is an interesting MMO that allows you to battle each other in turn-based fights.
What kind of game is this? The MMO Dreadlands places you in a post-apocalyptic world where survivors fight for the resource Glow. With your crew of fighters, you join a faction for which you stand up. Currently, there are 2 factions in the game, and a third has already been announced.
During your adventures in the post-apocalyptic world, you will encounter not only dangerous mutants but also other players. In tactical turn-based battles, you will face your enemies.
You experience a story in which you and your battle-ready gang become better and better. The stronger you are, the further you can venture into more dangerous areas.
Turn-based combat in the MMO
What makes Dreadlands special? The game mixes MMO and turn-based battles, which is quite unusual. You will share the world with other players who complete missions for their faction. When a fight occurs – whether in PvE or PvP – you resolve these confrontations turn-by-turn, which is somewhat reminiscent of XCOM.
You must proceed very tactically and use your group’s abilities wisely. In battles, “Action Points” are used, which you can spend freely, for example, to move or shoot.
Through cards, another tactical component comes into play. You can play special power cards that significantly influence the course of a battle. Therefore, you should use these cards strategically.
When does it start? You can play Dreadlands in Early Access starting tomorrow, March 10th. The title launches via Steam. The price is not yet determined.
