What kind of game is this? Ravendawn is a new, free MMORPG set in a classic fantasy world, but it also promises you the best features of farming games. You can now download the game from the official Ravendawn website after creating an account.
Even in the trailer, the game strongly reminds you of the popular simulator Stardew Valley with its charming pixel graphics and isometric perspective:
What to expect in Ravendawn? The idea behind Ravendawn is simple: You claim a free piece of land for yourself and build your own house, farm, or business. As a player, you are significantly responsible for the economy in Ravendawn and shape it together with your fellow players.
For this, you can also team up with other players, make agreements, and connect your properties to create a real little community where everyone protects and provides for each other.
Ravendawn promises you many possibilities to build and design your house, ship, or farm according to your ideas.
It becomes particularly interesting when you consider how much freedom you have in character customization. There is no traditional class system in Ravendawn. Instead, you can choose from 8 so-called archetypes, of which 3 are always active. Depending on the combination of your active archetypes, more than 50 different classes arise, which can be changed at any time later in the game.
You also have the freedom to choose from professions like: fisherman, carpenter, weaver/tailor, cook, animal breeder, miner, lumberjack, farmer, blacksmith, or animal husbandry.
In Ravendawn, trade and your contribution to it are the focus of the gameplay. However, you also have the option to raid other merchants, fight, and thus contribute in perhaps not entirely honest ways.
The trailer also shows that it’s not just bandits who make your life difficult. As you explore the open world, you will encounter various creatures that you must face in combat.
To prepare yourself for battles, you will have access to many abilities from three different archetypes per class. This way, you have the opportunity to create your very own fighter that perfectly suits your playstyle and needs.
