In Fortnite a new exploit was discovered. When landing in Retail Row and placing a Zapper Trap, hordes of monsters walk into the trap without destroying it. Eliminating monsters charges a shield.
What exploit is it? When landing in Retail Row and finding a Zapper Trap, it can be placed near the monsters. Due to a bug, the monsters walk into the trap without destroying it. Eliminating the monsters allows the trap setter to continuously gain shield regardless of their location.

This is how the exploit was found:
A player found the exploit by chance. They placed a Zapper Trap in Retail Row and still received shield points even though they were no longer there.
Clip of the exploit: Reddit user Scifearious shows in a short video how the exploit works.
What does Epic Games think about it? An employee from Epic Games commented on the video on Reddit: “Good find! We are aware that monsters can be eliminated by traps even when not in Retail Row. But we will continue to investigate why they do not attack the Zapper Trap. Thanks!”
Having problems with the Zapper Trap again?
With the 10.20 update, the Zapper Trap was introduced and removed again after a few hours. Players noticed that the trap does not get placed as intended when the edit button is held down while throwing it. Now the Zapper Trap is back in the game, and there are already significant problems with it.
It is unclear whether this issue is still active or if Epic has already fixed the bug. We advise against using this exploit.
