On September 2, 2022, LEGO Games released its own version of a brawler titled “LEGO Brawls”. Similar to what we know from Super Smash Bros or MultiVersus, players can battle against each other with their fighters in various arenas.
With the developer studio Red Games Co., LEGO Games recently launched its first brawler set in the LEGO universe.
In classic LEGO fashion, players can assemble their fighters in minifigure style and compete against each other in various arenas.
The game features 10 different areas from the LEGO universe, such as Pirates or Western, and offers various game modes – including multiplayer options.
On which platforms is the game available? In addition to Steam, the brawler is also available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Apple Arcade.

What does the gameplay in LEGO Brawls look like? In the first step, players can create their own fighter, called a “Brawler”, in LEGO minifigure style. Over time, new items can be unlocked to further customize and upgrade the Brawler. This includes additional figure parts, weapons, or emotes.
The player can choose from various game modes, where specific challenges or victory conditions must be met. Available modes include:
- Brawl Royale (Solo): Eliminate opponents to win
- Collection (Team & Solo): Collect and keep items to win
- Control the Point (Team): Capture and defend a level point to win
- Free for Brawl (Solo): Last player standing wins
The Brawler fights with different types of attacks that can be used depending on the player’s fighting style. From “Dashing” to close-range attacks and “Ground Pound” attacks, he can finish off opponents.

Is there a multiplayer? In LEGO Brawls, there is the option to play alone, but also together with others. Crossplay with consoles is possible, and players can compete in 4v4 matches. The game also offers a party mode and a battle royale mode.
Important for multiplayer: Console players need an active membership for the respective platform, such as PS Plus, to play online. You can also play offline, but without all the online features (via legobrawlsgame.com).
How much does LEGO Brawls cost on Steam? Currently, you can purchase the brawler on Steam for €39.99. If you want to try the game first, you also have the option to download the demo. You can also find this on the Steam page.
