After the launch of the expansion “The Kingdoms of Harad,” players noticed a bug that forced the servers of Lord of the Rings Online offline for hours. In the meantime, there’s a code that helps you.
What is this bug? Hardly had the new content of the expansion “The Kingdoms of Harad” been available, various players found that their legendary items were no longer displaying their intricate patterns and levels correctly.
The developers reacted quickly and took the servers offline to investigate the issue. Four hours later, there was the long-awaited update from the official forum of the MMORPG: The servers are coming back online.
However, a sustainable solution for the bug has not yet been provided. It is expected to come with a future update. Until then, the developers have thought up a workaround for all affected players: a code.
A Code to Fix a Legendary Bug
What is the coupon code? On lotro.com, the developers explain:
For players who have noticed an issue with one of their legendary items, or for players who plan to reforge or modify their legendary items, we have created a coupon code for three scrolls of intricate pattern recovery. Players should use a scroll of intricate pattern recovery on each legendary item they wish to modify before returning to normal next week.
Instructions for the scroll of intricate pattern recovery:
- (Optional) Disable automatic collection for your essence and intricate pattern bags. If you have disabled automatic collection, it may be easier for you to find your desired intricate patterns.
- Use the free scroll of intricate pattern recovery on your legendary item.
- Reinsert the extracted intricate patterns back into your legendary item.

The coupon code can be used up to three times per account. Expires on February 27, 2026.
In the meantime, there was another bug on the Peregrin server, which led to extra maintenance. According to the developers in the official forum of HdRO, the server is also back online after some hours.
