Fortnite: Battle Royale has created a nasty combo with the new scarecrow skin and a special emote. Many players have already been tricked.
What’s the deal with the scarecrow and the emote? Among the skins that have been offered in the shop during Season 6, there were two scarecrow skins. This fits the Halloween theme of the season. The scarecrow was easily recognizable as a clear skin.
But then the new “T-Emote” came along. This causes your character to temporarily stand still and stretch its arms at a 90-degree angle. It stands like a big “T”.
The special thing about this pose: With the scarecrow skin, you actually look a bit like a real scarecrow, which also exists in the game.
Disguised Killers in the Cornfield
Players trick opponents with skins and emotes: As some players used the skin to camouflage in front of the new cornfields from Season 6, they were often not recognized and regarded as decoration objects.
Opponents blindly ran past them and were quite surprised when they suddenly got hit by a load of buckshot from behind.
Is it still fair or already pay2win? Epic strongly claims in the shop that all skins and emotes are purely cosmetic and do not provide any gameplay advantages. At least this cannot be said of the scarecrow.
Moreover, there have always been certain skins that are darker and less noticeable, while others appear bright and colorful. Those who are not seen have a clear advantage in certain situations when wearing the Black Knight or the Dark Astronaut.
This trick will likely wear off: However, the trick with the scarecrow is probably only applicable in certain situations. Soon, players will have gotten used to it and will no longer fall for the trick.
In the past, there have already been several players who outsmarted opponents with well-timed use of emotes and skins. Among them was the legendary kill achieved by a player with the “Love Ranger” because his opponent thought he was a statue.
