DRAGO Entertainment has announced the new date for the early access phase of the MMORPG Otherland.
Originally, the early access of Otherland was scheduled to begin on August 26, but the developers decided to postpone the date to deliver a better product. Feedback from the community plays a particularly important role, which they want to implement for the game. Additionally, they plan to offer servers specifically for the EU and the USA at launch. Therefore, the new date for the early access phase is September 10.
More time never hurts
Lucjan Mikociak, CEO of DRAGO Entertainment jokingly explains: “After so many years in development, we thought that a few more days couldn’t hurt. But seriously: We just need a little more time to ensure a smooth early access launch. Especially considering that we will offer servers for both the EU and the USA, which is a feature that has been requested by many players in our growing community.”
Otherland is quite advanced
DRAGO Entertainment expects that the early access phase of Otherland is much further along than what other developers release as early access games. Players can look forward to the eDNA system, which allows cloning of items and NPCs. Housing and PVP will also already be integrated into the early access version. They plan to provide additional content on a regular basis.
Otherland is based on the novels of the same name by author Tad Williams. In the future, people spend most of their time in cyberspace, living in various virtual worlds. You will be able to explore these worlds together with your friends in the MMORPG and experience adventures there. The official launch of Otherland is planned for early 2016.
