The Korean e-sports scene of League of Legends is currently hosting the LCK split of 2025. Alongside long-established legends like T1 with star player Faker, there is a team this year that is dominating the entire LCK.
Which new dream team is it? The multi-gaming team Gen.G is currently winning one match after another in the LCK, the top league of League of Legends in Korea. In November 2024, the team reformed and has been playing in the LCK 2025 since then.
The first tournament of the season, the LCK Cup, ended with 3 wins and 2 losses (via lol.fandom.com). The ongoing split is called “Rounds 1-2” (via lol.fandom.com) and will be played until June 1, 2025. Gen.G currently has a series record of 16 wins and 0 losses.
What is Faker’s record? The LoL icon set a perfect score with his team T1 in the spring split of the LCK 2022 (via lol.fandom.com). With 18 wins and no losses, they are the record holders within the LCK. No other team has achieved this success so far.
Should the team Gen.G win their next 2 series, they will have also reached Faker and his team’s record. The last series will be played by Gen.G against OKSavingsBank BRION (BRO) on May 31, 2025.

There are more milestones for Gen.G
What else has Gen.G achieved? Besides a dominating score of 16 to 0 in the first Korean league, there are more achievements that the team can celebrate. The player Chovy from Gen.G achieved the milestone of 2,500 kills within the LCK with a pentakill against Hanwha Life Esports (via facebook.com).
In 2022, Faker was the first player to reach this milestone when he faced Chovy in the mid lane (via jaxon.gg). The two have been rivals for many years and set a record of 2.6 million viewers simultaneously in the LCK 2024.
Another achievement was reached by the top laner Kiin in the same match against Hanwha Life Esports. Throughout his LCK career, the Korean has amassed a total of 3,500 assists (via ggesports.com). This makes him one of 17 players to have reached this milestone.
The Korean team of Gen.G is on a record hunt and could soon catch up to Faker and T1.
